Who Are You and Why Do I Care? Yuri of House Octagon

Jenny: So, who are you and why do I care?

Yuri: My name is Yuri, of House Octagon. You should care because if you ever need something from another house or another avatar, and you cannot talk directly to them, you can always talk to me.

J: So you're a great conversationalist?

Y: Yes

J: What are those things on your head?

Y: This is a device from my world. It helps enhance my psychic potential.

J: That sounds fascinating. What kind of psychic are you?

Y: Where I am from, I am known as an Esper. The program was designed to find those with potential and train them from an early age to use their gifts for the glory of Mother Russia.
     Usually, this entaled the domination of the wills of our enemies.

J: So you couldn't, say, give our audience tonight's lottery numbers?

Y: *chuckles* Sorry, I'm afraid not. We cannot see the future.

J: But you could, you know, make someone stand on their head and say the alphabet backwards?
     I mean, if they weren't already inclined to.

Y: *nods* Yes, I could.

J: Do you still work for Mother Russia, or are you a free agent now that you're in the Nexus?

Y: I am an Octagon now. Though Mother Russia will always be in my heart, my duty is to the people of the Nexus.

J: Do you have a rank in House Octagon?

Y: *nods* I am the Head of House Octagon.

J: But the only head with a phsyic enhancement helmet!

Y: *smiles* Yes.

J: Are you on the Council, then?

Y: Yes.

J: What do you think of the Council?

Y: I feel at home with the politics of the Council. Most would consider appointment to it to be some form of punishment.

J: Who would you call your closest friend in the Nexus?

Y: Arch-Bishop Frig'em'all

J: Your worst enemy?

Y: I don't think I have any enemies yet, let alone a worst one.

J: Your best friend outside your own House?

Y: That would be Arch-Bishop Frig'em'all

J: Oh, then, inside your own House?

Y: *thinks for a moment*
     It's difficult to actually rate them
     Cassie was there to introduce me to the Nexus and has on several occassions helped me acclimate
     Doctor Stone is an amusing fellow, and I enjoy the debates on theory we share
     And I admire Eriska's youth and innocent ambition.

J: How did you come into the Nexus?

Y: It was through an accident with an experimental piece of equipment
     The device, called a Chronosphere, was designed to travel through time and space instantly. It could single-handedly change the pace of the War.
    

J: And it blew up?

Y: Essentially. Though we aquired it, the Allied forces still had command codes.
     We set it to go one place, they told it to go another
     And through the theories of the Conservation of Temporal Masses laws, we had to end up somewhere. I ended up here, in the point of least resistance.

J: I notice a lot of things blow up around Octagon. Do you have any interesting explosions coming up?

Y: Personally, no, though the good Arch-Bishop has an affinity for explosions.

J: I think we're running out of time. Is there anything you'd like our viewing audience to know about you?

Y: *thinks* I am always availible should someone need assistance.

J: Well, thanks! It was great talking to you.

Y: *smiles* Likewise, miss Jenny.
